Yeshua within the Christmas narrative Part III

Rabbiton Rabbiton
Rabbiton Rabbiton But Christianity claim that Jesus was born of a holly spirit,
not through sexual intercourse. When Tanach said about Messiah from the line
of David it means biological line, not some Holy Spirit pregnant a woman out
of the blue. Therefore your interpretation above is not correct.

Rabbiton Rabbiton
Rabbiton Rabbiton Jesus destroyed the temple, he did not restore the temple
hence the claim above is not accurate too. Messiah suppose to restore the temple
not destroy. Jesus in Matthew said on the mountain that no one stone will stand.

Don Tan
Don Tan Tanakh says Mosiach will come through the line of David. Nothing more
] or less. Yeshua predicted that the Temple would be destroyed. He did not ordain it.
Secondly, you cannot rebuild a temple without it first getting destroyed. Kapish....

Rabbiton Rabbiton
Rabbiton Rabbiton Messiah & David:

The Tanach mentioned that Messiah must be from the BIOLOGICAL line of David,
not spiritual (you missed this point again as I already mentioned above). When
Christianity claim that jesus was born of a virgin mary pregnant by the holy spirit
– that would not only disqualified him from the lineage of David, and would totally
not sum up as the Messiah from the line of David at all.

Without referring to the Tanach (Old Testament), by just reading the Christians book
new testament – why does the NT has 2 genealogies of jesus (in Matthew 1:16 &
Luke 3:23)? If it is only from the “line” of David NT should not have 2 genealogies
of him.

Matthew 1:16
and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is
called Christ.

Luke 3:23
Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the
son, so it was thought, of Joseph, the son of Heli.

Matthew’s genealogy from David to jesus is: David, Solomon, Rehoboam, Abijah,
Asa, Jehoshaphat, Jerhoram, Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, Manasseh, Amon,
Josiah, Jeconiah, Shealtiel, Zerubbabel, Abiud, Eliakim, Azor, Zadok, Akim, Eliud,
Eleazar, Mattan, Jacob, Joseph, Mary, Jesus.

Luke’s genealogy from David to jesus is: David, Nathan, Mattatha, Menna, Melea,
Eliakim, Jonam, Joseph, Judah, Simeon, Levi, Matthat, Jorim, Eliezer, Joshua, Er,
Elmadam, Cosam, Addi, Melki, Neri, Shealtiel, Zerubbabel, Rhesa, Joanan, Joda,
Josech, Semein, Mattathias, Maath, Naggai, Esli, Nahum, Amos, Mattathias, Joseph,
Jannai, Melki, Levi, Matthat, Heli, Joseph, Jesus.

It is very clear that these two genealogies must be describing two different people.

Don Tan
Don Tan I agree, there is an accuracy issue. Is that your benchmark ? Rabbis don't
know of anyone, i bet. Right now, that fulfills this lineage prophecy ,if any. You
cannot just say that the null hypothesis is incorrect. Who then, among Israeli's today,
would fulfill this coming prophecy, an alternate hypothesis. I say none. Yeshua was
never against empirical evidence. He after all, told Thomas, to put his hands in the
holes on his side.

John 20:24-29

24Now Thomas (also known as Didymus[a]), one of the Twelve, was not with the
disciples when Jesus came. 25So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”
But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where
the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

26A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them.
Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said,
“Peace be with you!” 27Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands.
Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”
